About GALA: Your River City Mixed Chorus is a proud long-term member of GALA Choruses, a 501 (c)(3), not-for-profit organization serving the GLBT choral movement. Every 4 years, GALA Choruses hosts a GALA Festival, an ingathering of GLBTA choral groups from around the world. The RCMC will be traveling to Denver in July 2012 to participate and perform in this fabulous, fun-filled Festival. We are hosting an open house rehearsal on Monday, January 23, 2012, starting at 6:45 PM, at First United Methodist Church, 7020 Cass Street.
Please park on the northwest side of the Church and enter the northwest door, as it will be the only one open. Walk up the short flight of stairs and take the first doorway to your right into Clark Hall.
Auditions to join the Chorus will be held following the open house rehearsal and again on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Please contact us for your audition appointment, using either our
website contact form or the sing line at 402.341.SING (7464). If you have a conflict with the scheduled audition dates, you may request an alternate date.
The RCMC rehearses every Monday evening from 6:45 PM to 9:15 PM from August to mid-June. Rehearsals are held at First United Methodist Church, in Clark Hall, 69th & Cass Streets.
